SPACE TIME ADAPTIVE PROCESSING

SEMINAR ON SPACE TIME ADAPTIVE PROCESSING : Space-Time Adaptive Processing (STAP) refers to the category of signal processing techniques used to treat statements from a radar system antenna network. It improves the ability of radar to detect objects that might otherwise be obscured by echoes or blockage.
STAP is a multidimensional adaptive signal processing techniques more spatial and temporal samples. In this approach, the collection of input data from multiple sensors are cube-shaped antenna. Depending on how this first data cube has been processed, STAP is ranked higher order post-Doppler (HOPD) element space pre-Doppler Element space post-Doppler Beam Space Pre-Doppler, and the post-Beam Doppler. STAP consists of three major calculation steps. First, a set of rules for the formation strategy is used to select the data that are processed in the subsequent calculation. The second step is the calculation of weight. It requires solving a set of linear equations. This is the most intense. Finally, it performs the thresholding operation after applying the weights calculated. In the treatment HOPD, Doppler processing (FFT calculations), followed by resolution of problems squared (QR).
