MIMO WIRELESS CHANNELS

SEMINAR ON MIMO Wireless Channels : We present a new model for multiple input and output (MIMO) outdoor fading wireless channels is more general and realistic than the usual iid model. Study the channel capacity as a function of parameters such as local broadcast range of the transmitter and receiver, the distance between the transmitter (TX) and receive (RX), matrices, and the spacing of sand beamwidth of the antenna. Highlights existence of the "hole" channels which exhibit low correlation between fading antennas, but still have poor rank properties and hence low capacity. Finally, we show that, even over long distances at high channel rank can easily be gained under mild scattering conditions.
