EXTREMELY RELIABLE OPERATING SYSTEMS

SEMINAR ON EROS : EROS, extremely reliable operating system, address the issues of reliability and security through a combination of three ideas of the previous systems: the capacity and persistent store on one level. Names unify network access control. Persistence extends this naming and access control uniformly across the memory hierarchy, main memory is viewed simply as a cache to store a single level. The combination simplifies application design, allows programs to observe the "principle of least privilege", and allows active objects to build with confidence. EROS is based on a simple object model that is easy to apply and understand.
