PRODUCTION AND MANUFACTURING

SEMINAR ON PRODUCTION AND MANUFACTURING : switches compound semiconductor such as GaAs MESFETs and PIN diodes are widely used in microwave circuits and millimeter-wave technology and integrated (MMIC) for telecommunications applications, including signal routing, impedance matching networks, and amplifiers with adjustable gain. However, these semi-conductors switch has an insertion loss of large (typically 1 dB), the state and the poor electrical isolation in the off state. Recent developments in micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) have stopped offering new improved paradigms in microwave applications. Several certain micromachined miniature switches have been reported. Among the These switches, capacitive membrane microwave switches currently low insertion loss, high isolation, better linearity and non-zero static force consumption. In this presentation, we describe the design, manufacture and performance of a surface micromachined capacitive switch in the microwave oven glass substrate using electroplating techniques.
