SEMINAR ON LED_WIRELESS : Billions of visible LEDs are produced each year, and the emergence of AlGaAs high brightness AlInGaP devices has resulted in many new markets. The
surprising growth of activity in relatively ancient, LED technology has been stimulated by AlInGaP device development. AlGaInN newly developed materials led to the improve the performance of blue-green LED, which is the luminous efficiency peaks higher than incandescent lamps. This progress has led to production of large area outdoor full color LED displays with several industrial applications. The original idea of this paper is to modulate the light waves of visible LED communication purposes. Concomitant use of visible LEDs for simultaneous signaling and communication, iLight call, led to many new and interesting applications and is based on the idea of fast switching of LEDs and the modulation visible light waves for free space communications. The feasibility of this approach been studied and the material was implemented with the experimental results. The implementation of an optical link was made by head of LED traffic signals as the transmitter. Traffic Signal LED (Figure 1) can be used for audio or data
transmission.
Audio messages can be sent using the LED transmitter and receiver located at a distance of about 20 meters away from the speaker to repeat messages. Another prototype that resembles a speed limit sign circular with a diameter of 2 meters built. The audio signal can be received in the open air at a distance of 59.3 meters or 194.5 feet For the transmission of digital data can be sent to the transmitter and LED Experiments have been configured to send a speed limit or credential slot. The work presented in this paper differs from the use of infrared (IR) radiation as a means of short-range wireless communication. Currently, links and IR LANs available.
